PMP® Certification Training Course

Students are strongly advised to acquire the most recent version of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge®, which may be purchased through the PMI Bookstore or other vendors. The Project Management Professional test consists of 180 multiple-choice questions that cannot be answered in any other way.

Candidates are required to submit a complete application. Candidates are strongly urged to submit their applications through the PMI website (pmi.org). After it has been launched, the program cannot be terminated, although it may be stored in an incomplete state. It will be accessible for another three months.

Applications submitted online are typically reviewed and completed within five business days. The processing time for individual applications sent in through mail is typically ten business days. It takes around 20 working days to process applications for corporations sent in through the mail.

The Examination Scheduling Instructions will be sent electronically by PMI after completing the application and money. This will certify that the candidate is qualified to take the test. Candidates who do not pass the test can repeat it three times within one year of the application being approved. Each attempt counts as a separate attempt. Suppose applicants cannot pass the PMP Certification test within their eligibility term of one year. In that case, they must wait one year from the date of their most recent attempt before they are eligible to reapply for the PMP credential. 

Applicants can apply anytime for a different PMI credential, such as the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.

If you attend one of our public PMP Certification Boot Camp Training classes and don't pass the exam, or if you were unable to take the exam after attending a class for some reason and need to retake the class as a refresher, you are welcome to register for an upcoming public PMP Certification Prep class at no cost to you. 

If you pass the exam, however, you must pay for the class again. We will first work with you to determine whether or not tutoring is a better choice for you if you want to retake the class because you still need to pass the test. Again, you must pass the exam to be allowed to retake the class.

No! If you want to get certified as a project manager, you don't have to have the job title of a project manager; nevertheless, you do need to have the requisite amount of experience working in the capacity of a project manager.

Yes. You will be permitted to take the examination after your application has been analyzed and your payment has been processed. You may take the test at any of the Pearson VUE testing facilities, but you can also do it from your home! Unfortunately, the PMI does not give specific information on the minimum number of questions that must be answered correctly to pass the test.

Yes. To be eligible to take the test, you must prove that you have completed 35 "contact hours" of training in project management. Your company or other training providers may provide classes that count toward this objective. 

However, PMI still needs to review or pre-approve these classes. Therefore, it is recommended by Sterlingnext that you get your training from an Authorized Training Provider, such as The Persimmon Group or your local PMI chapter, to guarantee that your hours will be counted. 

After you have obtained your credential, you will need to collect PDUs to maintain it. PDUs can be obtained from various places than simply traditional classroom education. For example, one way to earn professional development units (PDUs) is to provide your services as a volunteer for a local organization.

Absolutely! However, the difficulty level is much higher. Not just the material included in the PMBOK® Guide, but all that you need to know to pass the PMP® exam may be learned in a preparation course for the exam that expert teachers lead. 

A training course not only teaches you the material but also allows you to put your knowledge to the test in the form of hard multiple-choice questions.

The application procedure may be carried out entirely online. The website will walk you through the steps of the application procedure after you have registered for an account on it. 

Before registering for the exam, you must submit your application, including supporting documents about your education, experience, and training. The fee to take the exam is $405.00, and it is discounted for PMI members. The price is $555.00 for anyone who is not a member.
Becoming a member of the PMI before registering for the exam is a good idea because you will receive a discount that more than covers the cost of membership, and you will also have access to free electronic copies of the PMBOK® Guide, the Salary Report, and other publications and articles in the Reference library if you are a member. 

To become a member of your local chapter, you must often pay an extra, modest yearly fee. However, you may join the Project Management Institute (PMI) on a "global" level even if you don't join a local branch.

Your PMP® certification will be active for three years, at the end of which it will need to be renewed. 

If you have kept up with your professional development units (PDUs), you will not be required to repeat the test to keep your certification current.

PMP certification is open to anyone with experience interested in a career in Project Management or who wants to expand their understanding of the field.

The PMP credential is good for three years. You must show PMI every three years that you've accrued 60 PDUs through approved learning activities. In addition, non-PMI members must pay a $150 renewal fee; PMI members pay only $60. A new PMP certificate with the updated expiration date will be mailed to the provided address. The PMP Certification Number will stay the same.

The Project Management Institute (PMI) allows several attempts at the PMP test.

There is a limit of 3 attempts per calendar year for PMI certification. If the candidate does not pass after three attempts within a year, they will have to wait another year before making a fourth attempt.
